About OnePlus Wallpaper

Each mobile phone launch event will be paired with an exclusive key visual that represents the story we want to tell. The wallpaper is the user's first impression of the product, making it very important.

It will be displayed at the launch conferences, offline stores, and on mobile phone screens.

What’s special about OnePlus’s wallpapers? OnePlus's design language has always had a clear statement: "Never Settle." Many devoted users also embrace this belief and strongly support OnePlus products. The requirements for "beauty" are quite demanding. Therefore, when it comes to wallpapers, it’s not just good looks; it’s about conveying a vision that allows users to feel the story we are telling.

OnePlus established a distinct aesthetic from the start, intentionally diverging from mainstream appeal.

 

Following its merger with OPPO, the brand matured and expanded, necessitating a redesign of its wallpapers to reflect changing demographics. As the brand grew and released more models, a comprehensive design strategy became essential for enhancing wallpaper expressiveness.

Visual Strategy
"Aquamorphic Design"

Visual representation through the three forms of water.
Continuing the theme of "Aquamorphism" from 2023, while adding in a sense of awakening.

OP, Nord and Ace are three different product lines of OnePlus.

We toke the "water" from the Aquamorphic design concept and added it to the design strategy.

The three forms of water represent the long-term design direction of the three product series.

The three series vary in positioning and pricing:

 

The OP series is the premium line focused on performance and prestige at the highest price

The Ace offers strong performance at a mid-range price

And the Nord series targets younger consumers internationally with a lower price point.

How we build

The visual core of the three product lines needed to be consistent.

Therefore, we need to set the overall tone of OnePlus first, and then extend the visual tone of the other three product series.


This is a big project and needs to be planned the year before.

When the products are released next year, we can directly have the first visual draft. And make changes to the product's hardware color, size, dimensions, output parameters, etc.
